Visioning Your Desires

From gold medal athletes to award winning performers to the top CEO s in the world, successful people use visualization as a tool for accomplishing their desires. Why? Well, how can you possibly accomplish anything without knowing clearly what it is you want? When you visualize you actually activate brain waves which in turn activates the nerves to fire off signals in the body and muscles. This process causes your body to develop the patterns and habits of what you want, therefore conditioning and attracting to you what you desire.

So how do we visualize? Some people close their eyes and imagine what they want, seeing and feeling every aspect. Others write their goals out and post them on their wall. For the visual types, they create a vision board with pictures of what they want. Dramatic types actually stand up and act out scenes from the future they see.

Regardless of the method you use, it is important to get clear on as many details as possible. The more details you can create, the more real it can become for you. Consider the following. I will use the example of a person negotiating a business deal.

* How do you feel emotionally? Are there butterflies of nerves in the belly? Is the heart racing quickly with excitement? Is there a calm knowing the deal is going through?

* How do you behave? Do you walk into the meeting with confidence? Do you make calls to close deals?

* How do you feel mentally? Are ideas coming at you quickly? Are your thinking and responding quickly?

* What do you wear? A navy blue business suit with a yellow tie? An A line skirt with tapered blouse?

* How do you speak? What words would be said in relation to this deal? Would you be speaking slowly or quickly? Loud or soft?

* How do you feel physically? Are your palms sweaty? Is your breathing calm? Do you feel too hot in the suit?

* What is the environment and colours? Are you negotiating over dinner or in the boardroom?

* What is the response of others? Are they smiling? Are they agreeing?

* Any tastes or smells?

What happens if you don t know the answer to some of those questions? Make up answers and see what happens. If the answer you have created feels right, keep it. If not, change it. Sounds simple and it is. You don t have know everything now. The more you explore possible answers, the closer you get to clarity of what you truly desire.

Often people are so busy just getting day to day that they have no idea what they want and don t know where to start. Well, how about visualizing clarity? Imagine yourself sitting calmly with all your muscles relaxed and melting. Your breathing is deep and balanced. See empty space of white light and notice the answers gently floating to you. Another way is to start to notice your moments of happiness and what you are doing in those moments.

What happens if you know what you want but have fear around it? Try to write affirmations. An affirmation is a statement declaring what you want. It must be written in the present tense to be powerful again to make it real for you. If you have fear, acknowledge and release it. Something can t hold power over you when you face it through acknowledgement.

Here is an example of an affirmation:

I acknowledge and release all fears that I am incapable of creating more income. I replace that fear with love, knowing that the universe is abundant and unexpected blessings easily flow into my life.

Start writing and visioning your goals and do it as a fun activity. It shouldn t be stressful. Consider it playtime! Be open to changing the vision as you evolve and always believe you CAN create a life that is more in line with who you really are.
