The very first paperweight was manufactured in the 1800s. While they weren’t promotional paperweights, they were items of necessity. Necessity because before there was air conditioning people would use fans to cool their offices or homes, or they would have windows open. As the breeze blew through to help decrease the room temperature, everything that was held down would blow away.

It took a visionary of an entrepreneur to see this annoyance and cash in on it. While rocks were useful in holding papers down, they were not very attractive. So he created promotional paperweights that were not only functional, but pleasing to the eye. Not to long after the creation of the paperweight, they started to become collectibles as well as necessities. With everyone wanting or needing one, a second clever entrepreneur saw to it that these decorative little items were also used to advertise, and the promotional paperweight was born.

When your company is looking for a product that will help get their name out to the masses, be useful and remind people of whom you are. You need to think promotional paperweights. Keeping in mind that today a promotional paperweight is less an item of necessity and more a piece of office décor, giving them to potential customers will leave them with a very lasting impression.

Think about what your competition is handing out to your potential customers. Pens, paper, notepads, hand sanitizer or Kleenex. How many pens do they get and loose? Paper, unless it has incredible art work on it, does anyone really pay attention to paper or notepads. Why would you want your company associated with items that are used to clean up dirty messes and get rid of germs like Kleenex and hand sanitizer? When you are choosing a promotional item you have to think about the message you are sending based on what they promotional item is.

What does a promotional paperweight say about your business? Promotional paperweights tell your current and potential customers that you are someone that they can turn to in a time of need. That you are dependable and that you take the time to think about your customer. What better message could you send out?

Promotional paperweights can be given as awards to your customers for their loyalty. The variety of styles, designs and shapes that are available nowadays really allows you to create a piece of art to give as an appreciation, while at the same time you are advertising your business. Promotional paperweights can also be given as a collectible to customer or an employee.

If you are looking for an item that will not only advertise your business but make people smile when they think of your business then you need to invest in promotional paperweights. They are still functional and they are beautiful. Don’t give another customer something they will lose or throw away. Promotional paperweights are pieces of art that they will gladly display, and they can advertise your products and services.
